Our annual ‘Dearly Departed Beloveds Celebration’ will coincide with Valentine’s Day and our

One year anniversary in the new location.

It is all about LOVE!!

Indian Food and the loving honors for our Beloveds. Bring the family again !

Dearly Departed Beloveds Celebration with Kirtan Dance Dinner party & Rose petal prayers has been going annualy since 2003, although I believe TBB has been coming to Urban Yoga since 2002. This Sat. Feb. 14th 7pm we celebrate again.
The passing of a Beloved is not only very deeply personal, it is also a common bond of the human experience. When we gather together and grieve and celebrate lives of our loves, beloved pets and animals, the passing of ‘famous’ folks who have struck chords in all of us, of follks we many not know but their story, their passing affects us, we share the grieving process as uncharted territory. When we gather, the comfort of our stories, our tears, our smiles, our laughter, gives us courage to go onwards, to remind us that we are all living in the same style, the waves of emotions, the certainty of our passing, the unknown.
Bittersweet as it may be, Sura and the Temple Bhajan Band offer a lightness, a laughter, a dance, a celebration, prayers, rose petals, an opportunity to ‘break bread’ together, share an Indian meal, and be a community of humankind on the journey. Urban Yoga has a large bulletin board in our lobby with hearts so all follks can post their dear ones.
It is filled with Beloveds’ names, photos, greetings, poetry and stories, Some of the childrens’ hearts are the most divine.
This Celebration is a Love Fest, a celebration of love and life and companionship! Bring the Family! Come Join Us in Love Sat. Feb. 14th 7pm with the Temple Bhajan Band Kirtan Dance Dinner Party. $15.
